Detola & Geek wins Theo Paphitis's Small Business Sunday award!

Some things are so rare that the chances of it happening is equal to one winning the lottery.

My one woman small handmade business won Theo Paphitis's small business Sunday award on 12th September 2016.

So you could imagine how amazed. elated, gobsmacked & speechless atimes I have been since Monday.

All kind of emotions happening at the same time!

At some point I could barely breathe.

Hard work really pays off. You've got to be in it to win it. I live by this mantra 100%.

You also have to be very passionate about what you do. I so love picking out colourful vibrant African wax print textiles. They are the backbone of my teeny weeny business that I call Detola & Geek.

Thanks again Mr Theo Paphitis, Shopkeeper & ex-Dragons Den judge for propelling my small business into the big world of business & super brands.

Will share my official award winning badge once I've received it.

....... and here it is, as promised

Keep your eye on Detola and Geek as it is certainly going places!

London Autumn Handmade Market Prep

Some of my new cushions that I have made recently for my Crafty fox market debut. Making some more covers so that you will have a variety to choose from :-)

I can safely say they look absolutely fab ....

My Detola & Geek African inspired handmade cushions are a quick & easy way to inject splashes of colour into your spaces.

Quite functional & at the same time trendy. These vibrant designs always get the conversation started. Right?

A quick reminder that I'll be here ↓ on the Sunday (i.e. 18th September)

If you can't make it, don't fret. You can buy online from my new Detola & Geek website
