Timeless design ~ Art Deco Lighting

I saw this beautiful Art Deco ceiling light in the lobby of the Headquarters of Institute of Directors . The building is a beautiful Grade II listed one. And the inside just blows you away

But I couldn't resist taking a picture of this lighting on the ceiling. Typical Art Deco design ~ brass finish, suspension chains, frosted glass shades.

An Ideal country living room ~ vintage is definitely back!

I live in the country. Some call it the sticks and others call me a country bumpkin. They can call it what they want  Doesn't bother me, one bit, as I totally love the 'English countryside'. Am a sucker for country living. Simples!!

Every one has a different take on colours as there are so many shades, hues and varieties out there. Some people like bright & warm colours while others may sway towards more toned-down pastel and cool colours. The range and permutations are endless. 


Without colour you really don't have anything. We really can't live without it. Colours seem to be the one constant that you find virtually everywhere ~ interior design, fashion, product design, architecture, nature, food etc

I have kind of left this for a while so I thought it's time again for me to do a post on another design classic. This time it's on the Karlsson flip calender!

It's so so 'Retro'. I don't know about you but I've always loved it. Fits well in a home as well as in office, restaurants and hospitality environments. In any room. On any wall.

The brand new spanking UK Legoland Hotel

Have you heard about the new Legoland Hotel, Windsor, UK which opened just last month. I so can't wait and be a kid again for a short-weekend break. The last time I visited with my son was probably about 6 years or so ago. If not longer.
