Lampshade Making workshop by Detola and Geek

Here are some of the pictures from my last lampshade making workshop about 2 weeks ago at Hearts and Craft in Walkern Village, Hertfordshire

A couple of the lovely ladies I taught how to make lampshades at my last workshop. As you can see they really got stuck in!

One of  my students decided to add a bit of trim to jazz up her toadstool print lampshade

I think it's safe to see they were happy with their own professionally finished handmade lampshades. (someones camera-shy)

Will be releasing more dates soon at 'Hearts and Craft' in Walkern, Hertfordshire as well as some other venues (possibly in London) in the very near future.

I also teach individual / 1-2-1s and lampshade making parties like an alternative hen night/ birthday celebration / gift for her etc. If you are interested in hosting a party where I come to you please click here for more info https://www.detolaandgeek.com/workshops

Back to School Sale: 50% off all Handmade Home Decor Products

I am ever so sorry for being MIA. I know so unexpected without any warning. I had taken a bit of an unplanned break during the summer holidays. A breather to unplug & down tools, relax and reflect too. But saying that, I did do 2 fully-fledged market days last month in London @Camden Lock Market. Never ever done an outdoor market before so that was a whole new world to me. And I enjoyed every part of it. I promise to do another post on that, so I won't say too much now!

But back to THIS post! My son, aka Funky Geek, started secondary school last week. We all were & still are excited about this new stage of his life. And to celebrate that with my readers & customers I am having a sale on all my handmade products.
It's  50% off everything in my shop online (including custom orders). Yes ~ all products ARE Half Price. Please use Coupon Code: BACKTOSCHOOL while checking out. We now make African Print lavender bags/pouches using freshly-dried lavender. Custom request are welcome too!

Am sure this is a good time to get your Christmas shopping out of the way. There's something for everyone!

So are you ready!  On your marks, get set ....... GO SHOPPERS GO :-)

Craft displays at craft fairs

As I plan to attend more craft, handmade & vintage fairs displaying and selling my handmade fabric lampshade, I always look out for the best ways to display my wares. I plan to add on Pillow/ cushions and a few other soft furnishing lines in lovely vibrant African Print / Ankara fabric too!

I continually scout pages like Pinterest, blogs etc for inspirational and motivational
